Dice + Diversions – Speed Puzzle Tournament

Think fast. Think focused. Piece by piece, race the clock at the Dice + Diversions Speed Puzzle Tournament. Whether you prefer flying solo or teaming up with friends, these competitive puzzle events are all about speed, strategy, and steady hands.

We will be hosting two separate tournaments: A Solo Speed Puzzle event and a Group Speed Puzzle event on Friday, January 23. Both events are sponsored by Cobble Hill Puzzle Company. See Details below!

A Dice + Diversions badge is required to compete in either event. All competitors must register in advance through Tabletop.Events.

General Tournament Rules

• Plan to arrive 5-10 mins early to check in. We plan to start promptly.
• Only competitors, organizers, and judges are permitted in the competition area.
• Only two items are permitted for use during the event. Sorting trays and a puzzle box stand. No other devices are allowed, including phones. The only reference image permitted during the competition is the image printed on the puzzle box.
• No magnifying tools or personal lighting are allowed. Personal glasses are permitted.
• Participants may not manipulate, unseal, or open their puzzle boxes until the host officially starts the competition and the timer begins.
• During the competition, judges will monitor progress.
• When a participant is close to completing their puzzle and no judge is nearby, they must raise their hand so a judge can record the completion time.
• Bathroom breaks do not pause the timer.
• By participating, players agree to authorize Player One, LLC to use their image in photographs, video, or other recorded media taken during the event.
• Only the top three completion times will be officially recorded. Once the top three finishers are confirmed, the competitive portion of the event ends.

• This event is for individual competitors.
• All participants may continue working on their puzzles until fifteen minutes before the Group Speed Puzzle event begins.

Group Speed Puzzle Tournament

Friday 2:00pm

• Teams must consist of a minimum of two players and no more than four players. Solo participation is not allowed.
• Teams may not swap or change members once the event has begun.
• Phone photos are not allowed during the competition. Teams must share the single reference image on the puzzle box.
• Only one person per team should register for the event. This person will be designated as the Team Captain.
